If an employee is injured while working in the line and scope of their employment, then they will be covered by their employer’s workers’ compensation insurance. However, if a person is injured by another but it is unrelated to work then those injuries would not be covered. In other words, if the employee is performing his job duties, is injured, then workers’ compensation benefits apply.
